Free Tool: How Many Businesses in Your Town Have No Website?
Pick one kind of business and one town. We count every matching Google listing, then check a sample of them for a website, so you can see whether an area is worth prospecting before you spend an afternoon on it.
Free check: how many have no website?
One kind of business, one town. No account needed.
How the check works
- The count is every Google Business listing that matches your trade inside the town’s boundary. It is a ceiling: Google matches loosely, so a few may be a neighbouring trade.
- The no-website estimate comes from a sample of up to 20 of those listings. We count how many have no website on their Google listing and scale that to the whole count. It is only shown when at least two in the sample had none, because one business is too thin to scale from.
- The names are shortened on purpose. The full list, with phone numbers and a check of every website, comes with a scan.
Reading the result
Across the 4,370 listings in our study, 30% had no website, but it swings a lot by trade: barbers and beauty salons were far above that, plumbers and roofers far below. If your trade comes back with “most have a website”, try a neighbouring trade, or pitch the businesses whose site is broken or slow instead.
A free account can count up to 20 areas a day. This guide covers the manual ways to build the list yourself.
